SERVING THE NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION

The National Capital Region Threat Intelligence Consortium (NTIC) provides actionable intelligence and analysis for key decision makers in the National Capital Region (NCR).

Message from NTIC's Executive Director

Welcome to the National Capital Region Threat Intelligence Consortium (NTIC). We are a US Department of Homeland Security-recognized fusion center charged with providing timely and actionable intelligence to our customers.

What is intelligence? Simply put, it's validated information delivered to you when needed.  We aim to move the NCR's intelligence enterprise beyond a largely law enforcement and public-safety audience to new customers and homeland security professionals.

The NCR is comprised of 24 jurisdictions within the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia, and it is bounded by the Potomac and Anacostia Rivers. It is home to neighborhoods large and small, businesses, world-renowned universities, professional sport teams, museums and is the transportation hub of the Mid-Atlantic region. At the NCR’s core is the capital of the free world and the seat of the US government.

Only through combined efforts can we successfully protect our community and enhance collective readiness against all threats and hazards. Our commitment to becoming more resilient is what will truly make the difference in the lives of those who work, live, or visit the NCR on a daily basis.

Please look around our website. It is full of useful information.

- Justin Pierce, Executive Director
